Hollow and popping tile repair — fix tiles that sound empty or lift
We find hollow tiles, re-bed them properly or inject adhesive, and add movement joints so they don’t pop again.
Some floors sound hollow when you walk on them. In summer, tiles can even crack loudly and lift off the floor in a tent shape. It is alarming but usually fixable.
Hollow and popping tiles come from voids underneath and from tiles laid without room to expand. RennovEN maps the affected area and repairs it so it doesn’t happen again.

Diagnosis
Why it happens
Voids under tiles
Spot-fixed tiles have empty spaces underneath that crack under load.
Thermal expansion
Tiles expand in heat. Without movement joints, the pressure pops them up.
Weak adhesive
Old cement bedding loses bond over time.
