House Construction

Terrace room construction — a cool, dry room on your roof

Add a barsati, study, guest room or home office on your terrace, built light, insulated against heat and waterproofed properly.

Your terrace is unused space waiting to become a study, guest room, gym or home office. A terrace room can add real value without the cost of a full floor.

Two things make or break a rooftop room: heat and leakage. It sits under the full sun and on top of your existing roof waterproofing. RennovEN builds it light, insulates it, and waterproofs every junction.

Signs you need this

  • You need one extra room but not a full floor
  • Your structure may not carry a heavy RCC floor
  • You want a home office, gym or guest room
  • You worry the room will be too hot

The RennovEN promise

Diagnosis

Why it happens

Rooftop heat

A room exposed to direct sun on all sides overheats unless the roof and walls are insulated.

Broken waterproofing

Building on a terrace disturbs the existing waterproofing. Junctions leak into the rooms below if not redone.

Excess load

Heavy masonry on an old roof slab can overload it. Lighter systems are often wiser.

Our method

How RennovEN does it

  1. 1

    Load check

Assess the existing slab and choose a suitable construction type.

  2. 2

    Waterproof base

Treat the terrace and junctions before building.

  3. 3

    Build light

Construct with lightweight blocks or a steel frame, as suitable.

  4. 4

    Insulate & finish

    Heat-insulated roof, ventilation and finishing.
